A refreshing ale with a strong character; its fruity taste comes from barley grown in the Nord department of France and its highly aromatic yeast, its bitterness from a specific variety of hops.

I bought it at a supermarket in Paris, in 500 ml cans. It's not a spectacular beer, but it doesn't disappoint. I didn't have high expectations because it's French and I just went there from Germany. Bright yellow color, a high alcohol content but it's not noticeable, kind of sweet taste, and not too much carbonation. I'm happy with the discovery. As I said, it's nothing extraordinary, but since my expectations were low, I'm pleased. Give it a try but don’t expect nothing close to a german beer if you are on a Europe tour.

Copenhagen 15/12 2018, 75 cl bottle from Vinbørsen. Cork rammes into the bottle with metal clamp. Sketchy Drawing of Three Hills on the yellow label. Presented in the shop as “The Best beer in the Flandres” - from the French part at least.

Pours clear yellow with medium-sized head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the side of the glass. Substantial Lacing.

Aroma is strong, sweetish and malty. Sweet malts intermingling with lighter grassy bitterness. Hints of lemon. Strong presence of alcohol providing lightly, metallic backbone.

Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily texture. Tingling sensation.

Flavor is fairly sweet but not cloying. Followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitterish and a little metallic. Fairly short.

Well balanced boozy blonde beer. Clean and Crisp. Quite malty but with some bitterness for balance.

33 cl pug bottle, into a taster’s snifter. 8.5% ABV.
French Blonde lifts up a fine foam. Went down quickly, left a little ring around the rim.,. yeah.
Aroma of faint Belgian yeast, I found a grape (!), and crushed unsalted saltines.
This is a nice, easy drinking, strong, classy, ale. Lengthy dry finish and a small pucker kiss.,
Feel is just above light without tapping medium. Medium carbo.
Overall, a nicely respectful version of a great Euro style.

Pours clear light gold with a big, fluffy head. Not a lot to report on nose. Feel is crisp and relatively light. Moderate carbonation. Taste is more complex with spice grassy florals and a bit of sweet malt. ABV is well masked. Good, refreshing if not a little dangerously drinkable at 8.5%

March 2004: (750 ml corked bottle). Pale golden pilsener-like colour. Large lasting head. Spicy aroma. Flavour is spicy white wine-like, a bit alcoholic. Well balanced, nice aftertaste. A good beer, but I don't find it quite as complex as some other raters do.

Poured from a big bottle at fridge temp. Pours a semi-transparent yellow with abundant white head. The nose is lemon forward. A bit of malts, wheat, honey, and apple. The taste is a bit funky. Hoppy, lemon, citrus peel, honey, a bit of spice, yeast, and leather. Nice and refreshing!

Feeling supreme like the tail end of a dream. I love her so much that I might even believe in myself. I believe in myself so I know it’s love. No more pinches, because damn… I know I’m alive.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle with the cork held in place with an easy to force away large metal staple clinging to a ridge in the bottle neck. Cork exposed area was very small but it allowed vice grips to pull it out with an emphatic pop. Poured into a DFH tulip, a fluffy pillowy white head topped a golden wheat clear body. The head never completely faded. Smell was grassy and sweet. Taste had a subtle lemon pear wine flavor to it. Although I'm not that well traveled compared to many here, I've been to France and this adheres to what I'd expect from a farmhouse ale from Flanders. A very refreshing experience.
