Pours amber with a smallish head that only left a few spots of lace. Nose is...a marzen...a barleywine? That's the maltiest IPA I've ever smelled. Sweet syrup. If you told me it was a barleywine, I couldn't tell you it wasn't from the nose. Taste is...holy crap it is the same as the nose. Sweet malt syrup through and through. Way too much residual sugar and nowhere near enough hops to call this an IPA. It isn't bad, per we, but it is bad for the style. Weird.

Amber color with beige head. Aroma is quite malty with a bit of caramel and some earthy hops in the background. Taste follows with the same notes, caramel malts and earthy hops with grapefruit pith bitterness on the finish and lingers in the aftertaste. A really classic example of an old school IPA.
