Notes / Commercial Description:
Cisco Brewers and OCEARCH have teamed up to produce a beer which will benefit research and education on Apex predators of the ocean while inspiring fascination rather than fear.
Last year OCEARCH was invited to speak on Nantucket and the interest that ensued by both locals and tourists was unbelievable.

The first steps were deciding on the beer, then the package and then the bait to get people to bite at retail. After sampling several styles of beer, the consensus was that a light lager would be best. Something you could enjoy on a boat or the beach, while fishing with your buddies. Samples of 4 styles of beer were shipped out to the key decision makers.

Cisco brought on HP's Aurasma software who will be powering the can. Through augmented reality, each can of Shark Tracker will allow the consumer to scan the logo on the can after downloading the OCEARCH Shark tracker app.
Updates from the OCEARCH crew and exclusive video content as well as shark locations can all be viewed through your phone.
The first round of the these cans are already committed and retailers should see them throughout Mass in July & just in time for Shark Week in August. "Fisch"and Berger of OCEARCH along with Jay Harman of Cisco Brewers see global potential for this brand and are already working on an international & multilingual can that can be distributed as OCEARCH plans their next expedition.

Pours a weird urine-y yellow and no real head to speak of. Taste is grassy with some citra in the background. Feel is watery and not very fizzy. A decent light beer.

i"m rating this based on style. I'm not comparing it to IPA's
Look - very pale with tiny bubbles head dispersal after a minute
smell faint malt smell slight hops more malt than most american light larger's
tastes: like a blonde ale with medium malt sweetness. Not overpowering and not over carbonated to cover for light abv. poundable. some hops for bitterness. no off flavors
fell light body lager as expectedipa's
overall. its a light larger and a very good one. dont expect it compare with

On-tap at Waterfront Ale House, New York, NY

A: The beer is crystal clear light yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short bright white head that died down, leaving a collar around the edge and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Faint aromas of Pale malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste has light flavors of pale and grainy malts and a light amount of bitterness. No adjuncts are perceptible.
M: It feels light-bodied, clean and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The light-bodied nature of this beer makes it very easy to drink. I liked how it seemed to be all-malt and didn’t have any noticeable adjuncts that are normally present in other beers of this style.

I suppose cool research this beer supports. But in terms of taste, I defer on reviewing this beer. An uninspiring lager.

On draught. A disappointment. While I knew that I was getting a light lager, it's purchase benefited a cahritable cause...but still, I'd likely not have again unless it were free at a cookout etc. The pour was similar to an adjunct lager a la Naragansett with a slight hint of darker than PBR yellow. Less carbonated than many macro lagers with almost non-existent white head & lace. The aroma was a watery slightly hopped corn malt. The flavor was not an improvement, no real bite, just pretty boring. A 'wet' beer as I call them, suitable for drinking at shows, bbqs, shoveling snow etc. OK for what it is but I'd only lean to buying another if it were the same price as a macro lager.
