SRM 6, chill hazed, gold with random carbonation. The cascading head was unexpected, and built to about 1", before settling back to 1/4", leaving fine lace on the Pretentious Beer Glass Subtle.

The aroma fills the olfactory with grain; white bread, followed by sweet, faint grass and hay. A touch of honey comes out as it begins to warm.

What we have hear is a well built standard APA, with toasted malt and biscuit. It is well balanced and dry top to bottom. Some late sour notes detract, as they lurk in the lingering modest finish. Middle to end this is a bit rustic with some honey, and yeasty fruit.

A medium body and light astringency, with a nylon texture, are complimented by strong carbonation. The alcohol is below expectations.

As an APA, this beer is well done, but lacks highlights to make it memorable. On a cold wet autumn night, it holds its own, and I will enjoy two glasses while listening to the wind rustle leaves in the darkness outside.

Growler from brewery. Review from notes.

A: Pours a dark amber color with a half finger cream colored head that dissipates quickly and leaves so-so lace.
S: Aromas of sweet malt with a hoppy presence that's well blended. Good smelling ip, but seems more like an English ipa than American.
T & M: Tastes of tarty fruit up front with a smooth sweet fruity hop finish. Not much bitterness up front--mostly in the back of the mouth. Slight spicyness also. Thick coating through the mouth. Wheaty malt flavor blends well with the tarty fruit hops. Good body on this one.
D: Good drinking ipa, but a little too malty for my tastes. Would have it again if I saw it on tap.

Decided to open this bottle w/ my brother in law on this fine Easter Sunday...ready to say goodbye to winter for good this season.
Pours a beautiful bright golden copper color w/ tremendous off-white head w/ the most gentle of pours...carbonation galore.
Lacking any sort of lacing...aroma of sweet yeast upon first inspection. Caramel and citrus also in the nose.
The taste is a zesty lemon w/ a touch of wheat and spiced malt to balance it out...a slick feel, slightly bitter and very refreshing.
Drinkability is great, but probably more enjoyable on a warm summer's day. Very mild for an IPA, but nice to see it was brewed w/ hops grown locally...will seek out in the future.

I chilled the bottle first, but quickly realized that this brew needs to be cooled only, not chilled. Now that it has risen in temperature a bit, that flavors are pouring out, and the nose is much spicier.

It's brown with orange highlights. A huge head formed and took a few minutes to settle clinging to the glass as it went.

The nose is like a spicey baked bread. It's so mellow and pleasant. The hops bring a bitterness that is well stated, but not overstated, which leads to a well balanced ale.

The mouthfeel is on the wet side. This would be a good one for the upcoming spring weather (moving away from the heavier ales, gradually). The finish is a bit short, with a slight lingering pucker.

If you already like this style of ale you won't be disapointed with Cisco Brewers Harvest Ale.

From a 1PT. 9.4oz. bottle.

I enjoyed this brew from the Sunsets tap. It wasn't poured with much head, but had a pleasant dark brown appearance. It was an interstinging brew with a hop aroma and a flavor palate that touched on roasted malt, citrus, and spices. The brew as a bit funky with some saison character. I dug it. Medium bodied, but not a beer of the night sort of drink.

Had on tap at 'bones last night. Pour was the color of deep dark butterscotch. There was small filmy white head floating on top. Aroma wise, I picked up some 'pumpkin beer' type spice, mostly of the nutmegy variety. Also some malty/syrupy notes. Medium in mouthfeel, carbonation not over the top. I am picking up mostly malt in the taste, mingled with the spicy character I picked up earlier. Hopwise, the only existence I can find is in some citrusy bitterness in the finish.
