Very large initial head that needed to be topped off. It settles quickly to a fine film on the surface. Gold to amber color and clear. Oddly, very little lacing.
The smell is more malty than hoppy but it seems a little stale, like the beer lines may not have been cleaned in awhile.
The taste is earthy. The body is rich for the style and the carbonation is neutral. The bitterness is uncomplicated but balancing. Short aftertaste.
