Had dinner there with wife & friends last night so thought I'd post a quick review.
Since it's in our home town, we've been there a bunch of times. They always have 1 IPA or Double IPA (mine & my wife's fave) on draft & last night was no exception: Sierra Beer Camp Imperial IPA. Yummy. But, with the exception of Stone IPA, most of the other selections lean towards the more macro or import options. We often call down for the current draft selection as their website's pint list isn't very accurate.
Live bands on Friday night make it pretty loud so tough to have a conversation. But quality live music is fun in its own right so just depends on what you're looking for. Otherwise, the atmosphere is pretty average, with a few screens for sporting events and a small outdoor patio seating area.
Food is pretty good and of good value. I had shepards pie which was a bit heavy on the gravy (vs. actual meat/veggies/potato) but tasted pretty good. Wife enjoyed her CA chicken sandwich.
If the true measurement of an establishment is whether you will come back, then this place passes the test, if for no other reason than it's currently the best option for good beer and solid pub grub in town.
