i got this one from my buddy down south...

a. pours a dark amber with very little head off-white that dies immediately

s. very nice: nice balance of cascade hops that dissipates quickly and caramel-smelling malts

t. rich, subtly sweet, caramel crystal malts, finishes with slight huskiness and subtle, pleasant bitterness

m. medium but round

d. very! this one is just delicious. simple, but very tasty.

this one was a big surprise. a well-balanced, declicious brew. perhaps the best red i have ever had. i'm surprised that this one isn't more highly rated.

Appearance - Clear Amber, very little head that dissapates quickly and leaves no lace. Carbonation leaves much to be desired. Not very inviting appearance.

Smell - Citrusy and Piney at different samplings.

Taste - very tasty red lager, though piney

Mouthfeel - almost escapes the tongue as soon as I swallow, though while it is present it is light, yet smooth and seems to produce carbonation unseen in the glass I was drinking from.

Drinkability - I wouldn't mind another, but I'd probably lean towards a new (untried) beer or a higher quality beer before choosing this.

Draught in Chattanooga: This one pours with a small white head that dropped off almost immediately and left no lacing. It is an absolutely clear amber color. The aroma is a little light, although pleasant. Just hints of some toffee, malt, roastiness and earthiness. The taste is good. It had just a touch of sweetness to it. Pretty good balance with a hint of bitterness on the finish. No bad, it will appeal to many, but is rather non-descript.
