Light Carastan malt gives some residual sweetness in the form of very light toffee. A dose of Munich adds a slight bready quality, and wheat malt lends to a slight crisp character. Mashing at a moderate temperature gives this beer a medium body. In keeping with the intergalactic theme, hopping is comprised of Comet, Polaris, Aurora and Admiral (Kirk) hops. This beer is only loosely filtered to clarity, in order to preserve the ambiguity of good and evil.

First had poured from 12-oz. bottle, purchased for $3.49 (licensing fees must be high) in Kennesaw, Georgia, poured into faceted mug. Not Romulan Ale, but this is a rather aggressive, tasty blonde ale.

Bottle to pint glass.
LOOK: yellow, with suspended sediment, medium white head, lasts.
AROMA: mix of malt and hops, some light citrus, wheat, grass.
TASTE: yeast and hops are fighting each other. Some wood, some citrus. A tartnesss in the aftertaste.
FEEL: a little pasty, but medium bodied and well carbonated.
I'm not the biggest Star Trek fan, but enjoy most of the movies. This is pretty cool. Beer is not great, but a tad better than I expected.
Live Long and Prosper.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a half finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of lightly bready pale malt, mixed light fruit; apples, peaches, apricot, light citrus. Flavor is pale malt, citrus hops, grapefruit and lemon rind, light lemon and faint stone fruit. Finishes with citrus rind hops that linger. Medium bodied with light creaminess. Quite hoppy for a blonde. The aroma has the right fruity quality for the style, but it is subdued in the flavor, which is much more citrus forward. Good citrus hop flavors, but kind an odd duck, blonde malt flavors are overwhelmed by the hops and are not quite right for a pale ale. Enjoyable enough and I think Kirk would drink this if he wasn't into adjunct lagers.

Pours clear and golden with a few fingers thick, foamy head that settles to a thin cap that lasts and lasts. Spotty lacing. Aromas of bready malts and grassy and floral hops, some caramel.
Taste is white pepper, grassy /floral hops, tangerine, grapefruit, white bread. Feel is medium and slick.

12 oz bottle. Pours bright golden, thin white head with decent retention and soapy lacing. Mild grainy aroma. Taste of toasted grain, piney bitterness, grapefruit peel, a bit of astringency throughout. Thin semi slick feel. Not a bad brew, but not my thing.
