On tap at WoB in Florida.
Clear dark brown body but nearly black and opaque in the glass. Very good tan head.
An ambitious beer with all of the components detectable and none of them, not even the ginger, overdone relative to the others. Light warming from the chili (and ginger?). A bit too spicy overall, however, in the lingering aftertaste.

Look: Deep brown with a slight reddish hue. Low on carbonation, but just right for the style. A slight foam ring stays around the outside of the glass.
Smell: Rich brown ale with caramel and some tart/sour fruit. Smells sweet and dessert-like
Taste: Sweet and caramelly - then the sour rush comes in. There's a nice tart tang (reminds me of a red ale / double red) that fades in and out along with the caramel flavor. Really rich and pretty complex. Fades out with a slight smokiness and charred grains.
Feel: Slightly oily. Fairly thick for a brown and also for a sour.
Overall: I really liked this one. There is so much going on. It's sweet, sour, caramelly, tart, slightly fruity. I will keep my eye out for more of these in the future. One of my favorite sour browns out there. Very complex and enjoyable. It is well balanced and not so sour that no other flavors done come through like many sours I have had.

I had the 2014 Reunion Ale and that was decent enough. The 2016 is just kind of meh. I don't get much of the spices used. Overall, it tastes like a mediocre ale. At least my purchasing of the beer, sort of goes to a good cause.

Mahogany hued body capped with a thick, creamy head. Aroma reflects incense; spicy with a faint hints of mint chocolate. The taste mirrors the aroma; stronger, bolder mixes of cocoa, mint, and chili peppers. Heavy body; smooth and velvety.
A very fine dark ale offering a rich, dense and complex flavor of spices and soft chocolate tones. It is rich and luscious on the palate. An excellent collaboration beer with Terrapin Beer Company.

On tap at Rattle n Hum, NYC. Bingo. Confluence of weather, seasonal mood & beer reminds makes me feel alive. The temperature is low 60's. Just enough chill in the air.
The tastes in this glass are not only in harmony within themselves, they help capture the moment when the leaves on the trees are telling me summer is done.
The armth of the spices...especially the presence of ginger do it.
Deep copper to browm color. Little head & even less lacing notwithstanding though cosmetically
