My third offering from the Shmaltz holiday 12er I have and it's the best one so far...

As with the other Shmaltz's in the pack, the beer has this unique pour I've had a hard time describing. In short, I find it unique and intriguing. The pour leaves, in all three cases so far, a hazy brew with a very appealing orange tint. Though in this case there was no head or lacing to mention. The smell was what surprised me the most, a nice blend of honey and booziness that I couldn't stop sniffing. Mouthfeel was somewhat carbonated, but smooth to the tongue with a spicy aftertaste. I was also impressed with the booziness, or rather lack of, which in my opinion did not overpower the taste of the ale. Again, this is probably the best beer in the pack and I still have one to go, so we will see...

Aroma is slightly skunky, spices and malts/pale malts. The flavor is skunky hops, very mild chocolate, malts/pale malts and a mix of slight spiciness and bitter in the finish.

12oz bottle into Nonic Pint
undecipherable date code
L- clear dark gold with nice fluffy white head, that sits quite nicely, really nice lacing
S- nice malty aroma with hints of chocolate
T- sweet malt light not too heavy, hints of the cocoa, plenty of fruity yeast esters on the linger, balanced hoppy finish, with cocoa making an appearance in the finish as well
F- smooth drinking, medium bodied with a nice creamy feel, no alcohol bite
Overall a great beer, smooth drinking like a great Blonde Ale, with some warming qualities perfect for the season

Once in my life (when I was a college sophomore), I dated a Jewish girl, and she was a lot like this beer. Nice and dirty, and well endowed, and I brought her home to meet mom once.

I am pretty sure this is the half growler I got filled an hour ago - it wasn't well identified at Saveon (my beer store). It pours with a rich, foam head. The good head reminds me of being in public places and - never mind. The color is a light copper blonde. The aroma is also pretty dirty. Kind of soapy, hoppy, slightly sweet.

The taste is pretty complex, but without being too heavy (just heavy in the right places - the analogy still holds).
The taste is a nice blend of what seems like several kinds of bitters, well balanced with lots of malts. It is a rich and initially slightly boozy experience.

The mouthfeel is somewhat creamy and smooth, with a nice, lingering warmth. Watch out for the alcohol - it sneaks up on you on this one.

Highly recommended. Somebody snatched up that nice saftig girl from back in the day (I did for a little while, and it was nice to reminisce). You should snatch up some of this while you can.
