Purchased in Oklahoma City. Bottle says the bottling date was 2/18/2016 and Batch/case is No. 005/799. Given the high ABV, I don't think age will be an issue.
The bottle lists the following malts: Specially 2-row, Rye Ale, Terrified Rye, Rye Flakes, Crystal Rye 75, Crystal Malt 80, Wheat, Kiln Amber, CaraMunich 60. Hops are: Warrior, cascade, simcoe, crytal, chinook, amarillo, Centennial. Dry hopped with: Simcoe, Amarillo and Crystal.
Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a pint glass. Glorious rich amber-brown with tiny orange hues. Large fluffy off-white head.
Alluring rich aroma.
Flavor is a mouthful. Very rich but also of course a nice bite of rye pepperiness and of course the hops.
Lingering sweet finish with bitterness in the background. I'm picking up sweet pineapple.
Mouthfeel is smooth but full, almost chewy. Glorious!
I like this beer. L'chaim!
Extremely rich with high alcohol so this is a night of drinking in a bottle.
