Picked up a 0,5l bottle dated 02.07.2023 from the Edeka in town. Pours a bit darker than the traditional Helles. Smells and drinks like a proper Helles with a slightly stronger malt presence. While subtle, I’m enjoying the uniqueness of this beer, likely from the name “Schwarzwälder Helles” indicating that it’s specific to the Black Forest region. Hoping to check out the brewery one day soon, as it isn’t too far from Stuttgart.
