Half liter bottle dated best by 21.07.2024. Alpirsbacher is a reliable monastery brewery in the Black Forest and one of the few in BW that makes consistent beers. While more focused on wine, it’s odd that most beer in BW is so mediocre considering it borders Bavaria. Anyway, back to the beer…pours like a Helles should. Grainy, barny, yeasty, all the good stuff in the nose. Drinks super smooth. Traditional flavors are on point. Could enjoy several liters of this. Great Helles.

From the half liter bottle, it pours a clear light yellow color with a small white head that soon reduces to a thin layer. The nose gets light malt. The mouth follows with a light malt with a touch of hops. Easy drinking brew.
