Ginger & Lemongrass Lager

wow! this is a very interesting brew. appears to be a wheat beer, but i dont think it is. cloudy and pale golden color akin to a hefe in looks. one inch white head with okay retention. smells incredible, tons and tons of fresh ginger root in its rawest and most authentic form. really potent almost stings the nose. spicy yeast is also present in the the nose, and i cant quite get a handle on the malt profile just by smelling it. the flavor is powerful ginger notes at first, but it is almost immediately tempered by some bitter hops and that pungent citrus lemongrass flavor. lemongrass is more abundant in the aftertaste as are honey and hops, which blend together fabulously well. malts are light and way behind the ginger and lemongrass. feel is great, medium bodied but drinks like a lighter lager. also fine carbonation and awesome aftertaste complexity. this one is a keeper, a real indian treat.
