apparently their best selling brew. this keg was tapped the day i was there, so the freshness was tip top. pours a funny looking pale color that is thick and milky, tons of sediment and a one inch white head. smells like a nice fruity yeast, heavier wheat malt than a hefe, and a hint of the belgian yeast. flavor is banana from the yeast and biscuit from the malt. its smooth and creamy, not sweet at all, and well balanced. feel is good, easy drinking if a bit thick in body for the style. i positively get notes of lemongrass in here, or even lime leaf or something, bone dry and not at all pushing the perfume realm, but it has this very unique herbaceous aspect to it that sets it apart from the more traditionally belgian takes on the style. the yeast is distinct too, and i think overall this might have been the best beer from these guys. bubbly and bright, timeless or historic or something. in the hot south indian summer this might not be the best refresher, but on a cool breezy evening it did the trick for me.
