In tribute to the brewery’s founder, George Hancock, it is a deep colored ale with a toasty malt taste up front followed by a mild hop finish. Cheers to King George!

Had a pint on tap at the Central Avenue Ale Kitchen with lunch on 7-27-19 for $6.00.
Beer was served without a head, although Da Boss has a mild head with hers.
Nose has a nice toasted malt baseline, very carmelly.
Taste follows the nose with a bit of a toasted almost roasted malt that coaxed the sweetness out of the barley with some mild hopping resulting in a somewhat sweet beer. Bitterness is mostly from the kilning, 4/10 on my bitterness scale.
Mouthfeel was medium bodied and neither overly smooth nor overly refreshing.
Overall not a bad beer as it nails the core of what an amber ale is but nothing that will wow the imbiber.
