the worst part of these two places is the sound.... the sound system upstairs really lacks and the constant classic rock downstairs ... horrid. the prices have gone up in the 32 years I have gone there but the food is good and the beer selection is good... . they could carry more higher end beers.

I went to this place while I was in Michigan with my wife and her father. My wifes father is from Michigan and we went up to a Hockey game. This area of town has a great college atmosphere. With myself being from New Orleans originally and living in Tuscaloosa Alabama now I love the bar scene.
This place did not disappoint at all. I cannot remember how many brews were on tap or even how many were offered in bottle. I also cannot remember how many I had. I do remember drinking a Bell's Two Hearted on tap for the first time. I also remember the waitress coming over and asking if I wanted another. I asked what else do you have she said Founder's and many others. I told her I had never had it and she gave me a sample. That is most definitely something that never happens here in Alabama. You buy it and like it or not. I loved that about this place.
We ate before we got there, but the food around us looked great. I will be back one day soon. This place is a must go to. Great atmosphere, service and what looked like great food. This place was packed so obviously looked like a local hangout. ENJOY I know I did.
