Appearance is very dark brown, it's virtually black. Great head retention and it looks like a porter should. Looks delicious.
The aroma (or lack thereof), is surprising. Faint malty, dark, liquorice aroma.
The taste is nice and has that liquorice (as it should), it's not overly sweet either. It has a bit of a charred wood note, and some roasty notes of coffee/malts.
Mouthfeel isn't overly thick or creamy but it ain't bad.
