Nice to see another California common beer steaming its way to Puddletown. New Old Lompoc’s effort is successful in bringing a beer of deep scarlet with a light, nutty aroma to their already ambitious menu. Steaming Cascade arrives with a skimpy head and flippant lace, but also the modest sweetness and crisp bittering appropriate for the style. The lingering echo of malty sweetness gives this brew its flare.
