I'd meant to order the Munich Dunkel, but this was a pleasant surprise. It arrived with a bright white crown of foam and a matching regal golden body that had great clarity.

The aroma was suggestive of good, sweet malts and really was a bit of a surprise. Seeing the body, I didn't expect much.

The taste is stellar. Accurate, clean and done just right. Besides the crisp pale/lager malt flavors, there's even just a slight hint of a nice roast malt - almost a chocolate, which seems like it would have deepened the color. The delivery is quite smooth as well, partly due to a seeming lack of carbonation, but it doesn't really take away from the beer. This is described as an excellent spring seasonal, but it was a terrific patio pint as well.
