On tap at Fredfest 2009. Pours transparent amber with a small white head. There's little retention or lacing.
The aroma is one dimensional, pretty much all bourbon. Some caramel malt lingers in the background and a little hop aroma, but the bourbon overwhelms it all. No alcohol is noticeable.
The flavor is also mostly bourbon. There's a medium level of bitterness, but bourbon crushes any hop flavor. Some sweet caramel malt makes it through the bourbon juggernaut, but very little.
Not one of the stronger offerings at the fest, and I love -Bal aged beers.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
