This Lager is amber with a chill haze (SRM 6-8). A thin, fine, light-khaki head reaches 1/8" of an inch before quickly settling to an ultra-thin veil and leaving no lacing on a PBGC dimpled mug.
Caramelized malt is very sweet, with a light whipped cream aroma. Lightly toasted bread follows, with light fruit nicely in the background.
As expected from the aroma, the caramel malt is very sweet and biscuity. There is a light bitterness and a long, mild finish.
Light carbonation and no presence of alcohol. The body is medium with a slick, fine texture similar to satin.
This is an easy-drinking everyday beer. I imagine it would be excellent while watching a ballgame with hot pretzels and mustard. I enjoyed the beer more than the characteristic scoring suggests. One could easily make this a staple throughout the Autumn months.
