Appearance: Crystal clear medium amber color, lots of slow-rising carbonation with a half-inch off-white head that retains well; excellent broken lacing.
Aroma: Slightly sweet, bready aromas with a mild hop note, pleasing.
Taste: Flavor begins with a brief moment of sweetness, followed by solid toasted malt flavors and hints of nuttiness. The malt backbone carries through to the end, where a slight tartness and lingering mild hops bring the taste to a close.
Mouth feel: Smooth and rich, with a hint of carbonation.
Drinkability/notes: Easily my favorite among the beers brewed by NXNW, although I am partial to brown ales. Excellent, certainly worth a try.
