On tap at Hatchet Tap and Table. This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange to yellow color with a light transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. A thin white layer of head roams around the top of the glass nicely. Light lacing runs here and there in a messy sort of way. The smell had sweet bready malts roll over subtle sweet grassy notes. Light lemon glosses in and around the rest of the aroma. The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors and combined them nicely. Bready aftertaste, sweet citrus finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs smooth. Bitterness, what bitterness, this has got to be one of the smoothest saisons I’ve ever had. Overall, what a nice smooth sweet bready saison that I would have again.

On tap at Novare Res. Served in a snifter. Hazy orange with a brief white head. Smells a little citrusy. Light acidity and some brett. Tastes of doughy malts, light acidity that almost tastes tart. Brett and earthy in the back end. Medium low carbonation. Medium body. While it’s good, I think I like the simplicity of the regular FPA a little more.

On tap at Goods from the Woods 2014 with Festero. Funky pale ale, different, but it works.
