A - Pours a deep purple with a large fizzy white head. The head fades quickly leaving some light soapy lacing.
S - Aroma is red wine, oak and funky yeast.
T - The taste is Concord grapes, sour raspberries, red wine barrel and a good amount of funky yeast.
M - Light body with low carbonation. Still mouthfeel with a bone dry finish.
O - Really nice wine barrel aged sour.

A: Pours up a deep mahogany with a quickly receding, one-finger head.
S: Smells instantly of cherry and a tart, Oud Bruin like funkiness. The grape comes through as the beer sits with hints of blackberry coming though as well. There’s also a bit of a sweet-tart, pineapple like note here as well.
T: Fairly intense in the sour department, with mildly chalky astringency in the finish. There is a sweetness here that comes off a bit honeyed and fishy that is less than pleasant, but it doesn’t ruin the experience. I get strong blueberry vibes here as well as a tannic dryness.
M: Very dry, but in such a way that it feels as though a film is left on the tongue.
O: They definitely did what they were trying to do here, so I can’t fault them for that, but I am not a blueberry fan and that note is all over this. I’m aware that there are not blueberries in this beer, but the note is present and it’s not for me.

Excellent rendition of the beer wine hybrids, startlingly deep purple color in teh glass, very flavorful, so much wine characteristics without the wine tannins.

On tap at Three Penny in Montpelier, VT.
The pour is juice-like, thick and deep purple. The aroma is straightforward, sharp from wild yeast. Nice and dry but nothing too astounding, by 2019 standards.
The flavor is much more interesting. Sharp wild yeast up front, burgundy in the middle, and delightful notes of concord grapes on the finish. Very dry and quenching, and wonderfully fruity without seeming gimmicky.

Bottle from Oxbow Blending and Bottling in Portland, ME. Pours a clear ruby red with a flash of dark pink head, smell is red wine must, grape jam, frutti di bosco, somewhat stinky/sulfury, taste is sour and sweet grape preserves/ grape roll up, sour red grape skin, red currant and raspberry hard candy, and finishes with warming tannic red wine, this beer is light, bright, and dry. A very nice wine/grape forward sour.
