Pours a fizzy foamy 1/2 finger head with fair retention, hazy orange color
Nose nice farmhouse funk, grassy floral hay, wheat, fruity tart sour bacteria souring funk, wet hay and a bit of barnyard funk, light vanilla barrel
Taste starts fairly sour, tart acidity with some bacteria souring funk, a bit of barnyard funk, farmhouse for sure, more doughy wheat, wet hay, grassy, herbal, lemon-lime and citrus zest, plenty of grapefruit as well, even a touch of grape skin, light bourbon and vanilla oak barrel, a little buttery oak, mild spices, fair funk, drier finish, a bit more vanilla lingering, a little flemmy tart finish
Mouth is med bod, med to higher effervescent carb, bright acidity
Overall very nice as usual, not sure how much more the specific barrel choice made but the vanilla had a nice balance without a lot of overpowering bourbon thankfully
