A pint glass filled from a growler filled at the brewery earlier today.
Slightly hazy golden liquid with a little bit of cloning carbonation. There is a steady stream of large bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. The head is pure white foam with good lacing.
The beer has a good citrus hop aroma. It's not overly strong, but it is enticing.
The flavor is spicy and hoppy with a good malt base. The malts are not sweet; in fact you barely notice them unless you really try and taste them. The hops are somewhat oily and very peppery and bitter. There are good lingering hop flavors.
The beer has a solid body and great carbonation considering it is from a tap-filled growler. Thereis a little bit of a hoppy coat left behind, but no stickiness.
This is another great IPA out of Newcastle. The folks at Oxbow can make a great beer even when they aren't starting with a saison. Although this beer is just about gone, if you can make it to e brewery, it is worth trying this beer.

On tap at Churchkey earlier this evening. Served in a snifter. The pour is a light golden color with a semi-fluffy white head. Good retention and some moderately lacing on the edges of the glass. Cap and collar throughout.
The nose starts with a good dose of pine and just a little bit of citrus in the background. It smells a bit like Chinook, based on my experience with the hop. The flavor is more toward the piney dank character of Chinook, with some added earthiness. Not quite as integrated as the nose.
The body is fairly light with a pronounced bitterness. Perhaps a bit too much compared with the body and, more so, the relatively one-dimensional hop flavor. Heavy pine through the finish.
Quite nice, but not something I would want to drink more than a pint of at a time.

This beer was served in a pint glass. It was a hazy orange color with a thick white head. There was a good deal of lace.
Nice hops aroma, both herbal/earthy and citrus. Some sweet malt.
On taste, the earthy hops dominated early, then some grapefruit. There was a background of white bread.
Nice beer. The hops went well together.
The more saisons I drink, the more I like them. Oxbow does a particularly good job.
