Brewed for the Hornstulls Bryggerisällskap with honey from the bees of Tantolunden - I picked up a bottle at Systembolaget in Honrstull when I visited Stockholm a week ago.
A: The color is hazy warm amber and the head is rather tall and beige, compact and thick. Rich lacings.
S: Bitter hops galore! Toasted malt, semi-sweet. Lots of floral hops, red apples, pears and ripe oranges. Butter lures in the back.
T: Loaded with bitter hops. Nettles and hay. The toasted malt is somewhat sweet and rather bready. Floral hops completes the taste and brings lots of fruits; ripe oranges, pears, red apples and lots of raspberries. Butters and some sour yeast.
M: Long bitter lovely aftertaste. Body is soo smooth and rather full for the style. Carbonation is rich but non-aggresive.
O: A very complex and well balanced Amber Ale. The honey wasn't very noticable, but I think that's a good thing since too much honey/sweetness probably would ruin an Amber Ale - which isn't the case here. I think this is the best Amber Ale I've ever had!
