A place in the Cancun area that has a good selection of beers. A lot imports from all of Europe and some from the US.

I have been traveling back and forth to the Cancun area for work for a few years and this store has by far the best selection of beer of any place I have been to.

Most stores in Mexico carry the standard Mexican beers (Corona, Sol, Dos Equis etc, and if lucky Bohemia), as well as some American Macro lagers.

This Superama looks like any other Walmart and is mostly a grocery store. The beer is usually located in two locations, and sometimes even a third. There is a small aisle in the "gourmet food" section as well as an entire beer aisle. Sometimes the store also has a beer display near the front of the store.

I gave the store low marks for atmosphere and service since it is a grocery store and I doubt anyone working there has vast beer knowledge, even though someone had the foresight to purchase some good beers. I gave it a 5 for selection when comparing to every other store I have been to in Mexico (stores near where I live have a better selection, but I give them lower scores when comparing it to other stores in the US).

Some of the beers I have purchased/seen at the store include: Duvel, Triple Karmeliet, the entire St. Bernardus line, a bunch from La Trappe, a bunch from Kulmbacher Brauerei, some Sam Adams, Rodenbach Grand Cru, bottles from Brouwerij Lindemans, bottles from Brouwerij Het Anker, and some other imports I cannot recall anymore.

The price ranges, I bought a small bottle of Triple Karmeliet for about $1.75 US, but then also spent about $5.50-$6 for a small bottle of Rodenbach Grand Cru.
