Appearance: Deep brown, ruby red highlights, small tan head, excellent lacing.
Aroma: Mild roast, and toasty malt character. Hints of some fruitiness, acetaldehyde-y.
Flavor: Dark-to-burnt coffee. Mild dactyl. Not a ton going on with this one.
Mouthfeel: On point with the body, could be a touch lighter though. No specialty malt astringency.
Overall: Nothing too exciting and some off flavors I didn't really dig. I had this brew for the first time at a Taco Mac and wrote it off as poor draught system maintenance, but had it again on my own system that I know is up to snuff. Not my favorite from them, luckily it was one off. I'm gonna go have a Drafty Kilt now.

16 ounce pint - $5.75 at Taco Mac in Woodstock, Georgia.
Appearance: Some slims deep, dark amber-tinted hues as the far edge of the dark brown body. Slim but sustained light beige-colored head.
Smell: Charred bread crust, bittersweet chocolate and coffee give you the dark roasted malty notes, backed with a little dark fruitiness and very minor herb hop hint.
Taste: A delicate roastiness, a little tangy, with supporting malty flavors of coffee, chocolate, caramel and toast. Sprinkling of raisins. Minutely herbal, floral hops with a little, though adequate balancing bitterness. Licorice near the tail end. Closes out with a dark maltiness on the near-smooth finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: A likable, easy-drinking porter for Monday night or any night.
