Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear golden yellow color with a large white head. The aroma is sweet malts and some hops. The taste is a nice refreshing blend that matches the nose with some earthy notes. An excellent beer.

Pours a hazy medium gold producing 3+ fingers of shaving cream foamy, brilliantly white, lasting head that leaves sticky, Jack Frost webs of lace. The dark tint is most likely from the Munich malts. Aroma is Pilsner malt with dry notes of biscuit & cracker, lightly fruity with hints of spice, lemon & grass. Taste is sweet Pilsner/lager malt & grassy, lemony, fruity hoppiness. Notes of biscuit, soda cracker, honey, fruit, pepper, floral & grassy hops. Starts with some sweetness then slowly moves into a bitter, dry aftertaste. Aftertaste is dry, cracker, lemon & fruit with a hint of sweetness & lightly bitter. Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied withhigh carbonation, slick, prickly becoming dry & chalky in the aftertaste.

12 ounce bottle - $1.99 at Hop City in Atlanta, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a medium yellow-hued body, scantly hazed, with a lasting, two-inch whitish head.
Smell: Lightly grainy, lightly bready malts with some very faint, very low hints of citrus, spice as well as apple and alcohol. Pretty dreary aroma, folks.
Taste: Somewhat grainy, mealy malts with a pop of sugary sweetness. Touch of dirty apple. Lightly spicy, slightly lemony hops, though the hop bitterness fails to balance things out, leaving an insipid, sweetish, lingering grainy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: I certainly wasn't taken by the Nerd Alert and this is just a little bit more of the same, falling short of the low bar set by its predecessor.

I'm not super sure what an imperial Pilsner aught to be, but this doesn't seem like it. The color is about right, but the flavor is way off from what I would expect. It is way too sweet. So sweet that it is hard to drink. They should have used more sugar to get the ABV where they wanted. And the label says there is Munich in there, I don't know why they even added that.
