There is nothing more sumptuous than the misfortune of your enemies. That dark, smoky taste of revenge takes over as it hits your lips, marching upon your tongue like an army towards certain victory. In addition to the smoke and locally-roasted Batdorf & Bronson coffee on the nose. This beer is roasty, chocolately, and, like the tears of your enemies, the most delicious thing you’ve ever tasted

Very subtle well blended flavors but I feel like it was a bit thin bodied and light color for an imperial .. Very well put together tho and I really enjoyed it .

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high light tan head.
S: Moderate aromas of apple brandy are present in the nose along with notes of coffee.
T: The taste follows the smell but has stronger flavors of apple brandy that stand out in front of those of the underlying stout.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this beer to be quite easy to drink considering its strrength.

I'm always looking for apple brandy expressions in beer and even whisky, as I think it can add quite an interesting flavor profile to the base product when handled well. This is good, but the apple brandy is very subtle here, adding only a modicum of sweetness and a generic brandy overlay. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it though! The brandy blends beautifully with the lactose and creates a fruity, buzzy finish. Nice!

Appearance -The beer poured a silky black color with a mocha colored head coming the glass with soft bubbles.

Smell - The sticky sweetness of the apple brandy dominated the base beer.

Taste - The best fear, including dry Baker’s chocolate, lead the initial impression. Sweet sticky apple brandy overcame the best beer rather quickly. Just a touch of vanilla was further noted. The beer was not overly sweet though I wish the best spirit was a bit stronger.

Mouthfeel - The base pair of a milk stout had trouble holding up the entire profile. It ran a bit thin.

Overall - The only real problem with the beer was the party. Aside from that, this is near perfect.
