500mL bottle from Sprayberry Bottle Shop (Marietta, GA). 10.99. 2018 release. Served in a Monday Night snifter. Enjoyed 10/28/18.
Pours a fuzzy, dull orange with some white fizz that completely crackles away within seconds.
Sour grain, wine barrel and some stone fruit on the nose.
Pleasantly sour flavors of tart wheat, white wine, funky oak and peach pulp.
Light body with gently fizzing carbonation. The tart finish is like wine doused stone fruit.
I don’t typically reach for many Berliners but Monday Night’s wine barrel aged rendition with fruit works well for me when I do. This second installment of Mischief Managed has a little more fruit presence than the last.
