Tie 8 On is A 13.4% ABV strong ale with Ugandan vanilla beans. It's big and bold with a blend of 8 different barrel aged beers hand selected by Brewmaster Peter Kiley and Barrel Program Manager Tim McDonnell.

Had on tap. Pitch black with a brown cap that quickly fades. Smell is boozy as hell, with tons of wood, nuts, chocolate, caramel, brown sugar, barley, molasses, coffee, vanilla, and the kitchen sink. I am a big fan of blended strong ales, and this one scares you a little up front in the taste by how separated the layers are: brownie, barleywine, coffee, etc from the nose, but then the wood and vanilla TIE it all together, with great booze variance. Feel is a bit more stouty than expected, with some strong ale booze, but is actually refined for style, almost too much so. A good dessert strong ale!
