This is a vanilla bomb of an Imperial Rye Stout. Aged in Bissell Maple Farms Maple Bourbon barrels, we used vanilla beans sourced from Uganda, Indonesia and Madagascar. Each imparts its own unique taste and flavor.

Dark brown oily appearance with a moist tight tan head that recedes slowly to a surface film, decent retention, sparse spotty lacing. Sweet vanilla, maple, boozy whisky. Medium to thick body, mild carbonation. Lots of flavor, little too sweet for me.

2021 Vintage.
A lot going on here according to the label. The Tiger That Killed My Father a maple bourbon barrel-aged coconut hazelnut imperial rye stout. That is a mouthful. A small head forms and quickly settles on the black brew. Strong aroma of maple syrup with a slight chocolate hint. I sipped this with trepidation because of what I feared. My fears were sound. This is a sweet mess of a beer. Maple and vanilla dominate with a cloying sweetness. Only relief from the sweetness is the alcohol burn. Big body with a very mellow carbonation. Oily texture.
