Too much pastry, not enough stout. The apple brandy probably isn’t helping. Too sweet and minimal depth on the nose or tongue.

2024 bottle opened at fridge temp. Pours a very thick black. The nose is intense. Chocolate, vanilla, coffee, cinnamon, Nutella, brandy, a bit of rum, and maple. Not picking up notes from all of the spirits, at least on the nose.
The taste is pretty awesome. Cinnamon, vanilla, rum, brandy, maple, chocolate, toffee, bourbon, and Scotch. Wow. So much flavor. I was a bit worried that the number of spirit types used would complicate the flavor, but this is surprisingly balanced. I do pick up a bit of tequila, and I'm not a fan of tequila. So, that's not really a knock on the beer, but more of a me problem. Not a fan of that note though.
Mouthfeel is pretty thick and creamy, and the aftertaste actually leans a bit towards maple and tequila.

L: Pours a dark chocolate, forming almost no head. Motor oil. Held to the light, this beer is an opaque near-black.
S: Whiskey barrel, brandy, cinnamon, and chocolate up front. Faint hint of malt, oak, vanilla.
T: Woah. Brandy, bourbon barrel immediately detected. Strong boozy character. Healthy amount of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt to remind you this is still a stout. Oak and vanilla underscore barrel influence towards finish, as well as a trace of char. Nice alcohol burn.
F: Full bodied. Slick, rich mouthfeel with modest carbonation.
O: Truly, a masterpiece that should be tried by any stout enthusiast. There are no flaws in this beer, other than that you can't consume more than one glass in a sitting.

Appearance - The beer poured a deep black color with a dark tan head.
Smell - Cinnamon and sweet apple brandy really jumped out in the nose.
Taste - Apple brandy lead the way, followed by tequila in a close second. The maple bourbon and cognac were also easily detectable. Toward the back, there were scotch hints. All of these elements were in front of a chocolate stout backbone. The sweetness of the apple brandy continue to the finish. Obviously, there was a lot going on here.
Mouthfeel - The body was smooth with low carbonation like a milk stout.
Overall - This was a unique experience.
