Second to last bottle the wife & I purloined from Georgia during a long weekend in January. 500ML bottle split with my first wife.
The description is long enough it might not fit on a 12 oz. bottle. This one opens without even a whisper & the head is correspondingly spare. The nose is scotch, maple, vanilla, additional sweetness & marshmallows. That’s a lot of aroma.
Maple Scotch Barrel Aged S’Mores Imperial Stout is dominated by the scotch. I don’t know exactly what a scotch maple barrel is but I’m going to assume it’s a barrel of scotch with a dash of maple syrup dribbled in. Most of the rest of the encyclopedia of ingredients are thrashed by the scotch: maple & vanilla peek out, but it’s mostly char & campfire & scotch. A taster of this would have been enough.
I love me the spirits aging but this stout (?) is overwhelmed by the scotch. If you drink it neat go ahead & load up on this. Just middling to me.
