Canned 1/19/21. Tavour purchase March 2021. Poured at 57°. Reddish brown mixed bubbles head sits atop jet black with ruby edges liquid; poor cap retention; thin ring, no lace; medium legs on swirl. Hazelnut and sweet malt nose. Taste is hazelnut upfront followed by roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate; some bitter roast malt; green bell peppers middle; not sweet; vanilla in background. Medium body; moderate minus carbonation; slight warmth from 12.2% abv; grainy tongue coating. Bitter roast linger; the coffee is starting to turn peppers/veggies; thank goodness for the hazelnut - do not age, drink now; overall an ok coffee stout.

Look: Poured in to a pint glass. Looks like dark chocolate with a one finger width caramel colored head that quickly vanished to a pencil thin ring around the edge. Great lacing on the sides of the glass.
Smell and Taste: Chocolatey, coffee, boozy and hazelnuts maybe some vanilla added in that order.
Feel: First and foremost, I'm glad I was sipp'n this one at home. Not sure I would be able to drive home if I needed to. Must have something to do with the 12.2% ABV. No! The extra 0.2%. Mouth feel is thick as syrup or maybe a good penetrating oil LOL. Don't misinterpret. It's all good.
Overall: I'd like to have another . . . but it won't be tonight. I believe it's a ONE AND DONE kinda brew. Enjoy!

Ordered from Tavour, chilled, and poured into an Imperial pint glass.
Look: dark brown, almost black, small 1/4 finger sized head that dissipated quickly to nothing. No lacing
Smell: booze up front, followed by sweet dark roasted malt notes, almost dark sweet chocolate following that
Taste: booze in the nose immediately, followed by super sweet dark roast, a bit of coffee and trailing sweet dark chocolate notes. The nutty notes are hidden in this and you have to reach at the very end to get it after the boozy needing
Feel: full feel, syrupy, no carbonation, thick and drying
Interesting beer. We had a pretty good idea what we were in store for. Dark roast, sweet coffee and hazelnut with some booze. What we got was super sweet roasty notes with a little coffee, quite a bit of booze and almost no nuttiness. We have learned that hazelnuts are difficult to capture in a beer and this one had a difficult time getting it as well. Still though, if you like thick, syrupy boozy stouts, this is a decent beer.
Cheers everyone.

Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a half finger dark brown head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, vanilla, drip coffee, cocoa and nuts. Flavor is dark toasted malt with light char, latte coffee, hazelnuts, vanilla and mild cocoa. Hazelnut latte finish with some residual toasted malt. Medium bodied with solid creaminess, silky and nearly like a nitro pour. A full bodied, flavorful coffee stout with a fantastic frothed creaminess. Fine, lightly charred malts, clear coffee and hazelnut character. This really looks, smells and tastes great with a wonderful mouth feel. Nicely done. I'd like to see these guys again.

16oz can from Tavour. Thick black pour, brown head fades to ring. Aroma is chocolate and hazelnuts. Syrupy, sweet taste, chocolate, coffee, hazelnuts. Thick and rich. Warmth rises at the end. This is damn good.

Appearance: Slips out a viscous, inky black body with a dispersing, well-tanned head.
Smell: With a heady booziness, it smells of silky, sugary dark maltiness, though the touches and tones of coffee and nuts are more than a bit subtle.
Taste: Its certainly heavy on the sweetness, quite sugary and thick. Dark, roasty malts with some toasted hints. Chocolate syrup with a couple of sharp, bitterish espresso accents and a ripple of hot alcohol. It never really gets too nutty, never too nutty at all. Stays very thick and while being a very sweet beer, at least it doesn't stray into appallingly sweet territory.
Mouthfeel: Full-bodied. Low carbonation. Mouthfeel has a rather liqueur quality to it.
Overall: Very much a slow sipper. Be sure to have a flop couch and some water ready, though, just in case!
