An untamed double rye imperial stout aged in maple bourbon and vanilla barrels. This iteration combines toasted and untoasted coconut, toasted hazelnuts, Ugandan vanilla, and cinnamon for an expression of rich, fierce flavors.

Still waiting for this brewery to knock my socks of (my feet are currently bare); the description sure sounds good. 16.9 oz. bottle split with my wife.

Black. The nose is awash in maple, vanilla, & sweet malts.

The Tiger That Killed My Father reminds me strongly of a fantastic book (The Tiger) by John Vaillant. This tastes better though. Hazelnuts, wandering aimlessly & missing the nose party, boom out of the glass, backed by the spicy rye & maple. Smaller portions of cinnamon, booze, vanilla, & blue cough syrup (in a good way) round out a nice field. No pastry stout here, just a solid sipper.

Easily the best beer I’ve sample from Monday Night Brewing, this one brings complexity & tastiness without getting muddled. Breaks the plane of excellent.

Oily black viscous pour with no head after the quickly faded initial brown cap. Rye, coconut, and vanilla bond powerfully in the nose with creamy milk chocolate, hazelnut liqueur, a touch of marzipan and a dash of cinnamon. Taste has more of a hazelnut creme soak with a vanilla rye booziness. Milk chocolate, anise, black strap molasses and malt accent. Rich, viscous, yet velvet smooth and creamy, certainly sweet on the finish but not really the focus with the barrel and adjunct depth. Decadent dessert stout to end the night with
