Out of the Jurassic Jungle of Juice comes an apex predator with the vicious intent of slaying your palate. Death Raptor Killer IPA’s zesty, citrus fruit aroma lures you into the glassful of sweet, sweet surrender. Flavors of tangerine and grapefruit mingle with the malt backbone of pilsner, oat, and wheat. This IPA appears pleasant, but you may never escape its delicious grip.

Poured from a 19.2 oz can into a Willi Becher glass
Pours a somewhat hazy golden straw color, with about two fingers worth of off white head that recedes slowly, leaving behind lots of sticky lacing.
Very nice aroma. Big and citrusy with notes of grapefruit and orange, with hints of peach and some piney notes as well.
The flavor follows the nose quite closely. Grapefruit, orange, and some peach/apricot and piney notes as well. There is just the slightest bit of bitterness in the finish. Just the slightest sweet malt presence works to balance out the hoppy flavors. Medium bodied and moderately carbonated.
Very nice IPA. I don't drink alot of IPA's, but this one is quite nice

Picked up a 12 oz single can as part of a mixer sixer from the Ingles on Airport Road cooler 11-15-24 for $11.99. Canned on 10-16-24; "deadliest" by 2-16-25. Consumed on 1-9-25.
Beer poured a clear gold with a nice white head that is leaving some lacing behind.
Nose is a pretty good, getting primarily citrus hops.
Taste is a light pale malt base that combines nicely with grapefruit, strawberry, and orange-based hops. Finishes with a strong touch of pine and rind; 7/10 on my bitterness scale.
Mouthfeel is light bodied and refreshing.
Overall, this is a nice WCIPA where the old school flavors dominate.

A: Slightly hazy gold with impressive rocky 1-2 finger white head with great retention and a very sticky band of lacing.
S: Aroma is very fruity overall with a lot of candied apricot and peach which seems mostly driven by esters.
T: Flavor is also largely ester-driven with similar dominant fruity stone fruit ester but contrasted with some pine and herbal hop notes. Bitterness is low-medium and alcohol is hidden.
M: Feel is also soft and hazy-like with medium body.
O: Death Raptor:Killer IPA should seemingly be less tame in character. Not a fan to be honest.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the Lee Street brewery location as part of a four sample flight. It poured a clear golden with thin white head that is leaving some nice lace. The scent had apricot and bright stone fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp semi sweet malt base with brilliant pineapple and apricot presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Appearance: Straw yellow with a slight haze. frothy white high with moderate retention.
Aroma: Citrus fruit, berries, and slight herbalness.
Flavor & Aftertaste: Citrus fruit, blueberry and spicy/herbal note, grainy malt. Moderately sweet. Moderate bitterness. Alcohol barely notable.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied, drying, short finish with lingering bitterness.
Overall: One of the more unique IPA's I've had lately. It has Simcoe, El Dorado, and Mosaic hops, so you expect a lot of hoppy aromas. Initially you get the citrus fruit then you start picking up on the berry like and some spicy/herbal notes. There is a bit of pine or dankness. Flavor follows aroma except some grains from the malt bill come through, which is unusual to me for IPA, but I actually liked. Not highly bitter but still leans bitter with a trailing astringency. It drinks on the lighter side. Alcohol is barely notable. Overall, a unique one. IPA lovers will either love or hate it. Probably not a lot in between. What makes this IPA unique to me is the malt bill stands out more, which I don't usually notice in most IPAs. Malt bill: pilsner, oats, and wheat.
