Alright, alright, alright don’t everybody like the smell of gasoline? Made in partnership between Monday Night Brewing and their friends at NZ Hops and YCH for the 2023 Craft Brewers’ Conference, Gasoline Dreams is a highly refined showcase of the amazing aroma hops that are being produced in New Zealand. The second brew to be produced after Monday Night joined the Bract Breeding Program through NZ hops, Gasoline Dreams boasts flammable flavors: dank resin, grapefruit, tangerine, and crushed grapes intermingle in the glass. An explosively delicious brew.

Best by 07/19/25. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.

Gasoline Dreams is a solid but middle of the road NEIPA. It is a lower ABV version of the style but has an average intensity Citra-Mosaic aroma and flavor. It just follows the usual NEIPA playbook.

Really high-quality offering even in the competitive IPA category, but flat-out awesome for a 5.4% hazy pale ale.

Liquid is definitely paler and thinner than a full hazy IPA, but I suppose that’s the idea and it still looks the part. And the head and lacing are both robust, especially at 5.4%.

Aromas are fantastic if you like a strong weedy/oniony vibe because it takes the lead. But there are wonderful tropical fruit, citrus rind, grapevine, and green grape notes to balance out the greenery, which makes for a combo that I truly love. One of the best smelling 5.4% pale ales I’ve ever tried, for sure.

At 5.4% I didn’t expect the taste profile to keep up, and it doesn’t. But the aroma notes carry over quite consistently and are quite satisfying. Plenty of dankness with some strong ruby red grapefruit and dry white wine notes. Very dry overall with very modest bitterness and a solid pithy bite at the end. Incredibly drinkable.

Soft and silky mouthfeel but definitely thinner than a typical hazy. But again, I suppose that’s to be expected.

Really, really enjoyed this one. And I’ve now had it both on tap in Atlanta and in month-old cans distributed to Nashville.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the Lee Street brewery location as part of a four sample flight. It poured a hazy golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had dank guava and papaya notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with mellow sweet malt base with guava passion fruit and papaya presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.
