TIE XIII celebrates Monday Night Brewing’s entry to its teenage years with maturity and swagger. A blend of three dark beers, each aged in Bourbon or Rye barrels for more than 18 months, it is rested on toasted coconut, roasted hazelnut and Ugandan vanilla beans, with a smidge of true cinnamon bark. TIE XIII is a rich and complex pastry stout, smooth with a hint of spice, and, at 13% ABV, strong and self-assured.

Crowler: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a small dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some bourbon/rye notes with some coconut/vanilla and hazelnut notes with hints of cinnamon. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some bourbon notes and coconut/vanilla and hints of cinnamon with some nice hazelnut notes. Body is full with an oily texture and good carbonation with no real discernible alcohol notes. Solid pastry stout that taste like liquid dessert.
