Had on tap at the brewery.
Big creamy foamy head hits 1.5 fingers fades slowly great lacing, clear honey orange color.
Nose plenty of simcoe, fresh resin dank but not too much, big fruity, little grapefruit pith and generic fruit, some grassy spicy notes, touch of pine in there too.
Taste brings a bit of pine, little sap like too, then into generic fruit again, lots if citrus pith, maybe some grapefruit but hard to label it, fair bitterness with little grassy spicy component. Mild sweet malt underneath, the grassy piney component builds too. Finish is a bit sticky, big grassy piney note with mild pith and rind, more generic fruity flavors lingering.
Mouth is med bod, decent carb, little soft lager feel and crispness.
Overall just didn't feel like the beer came together like it should have, simcoe seems to have actually detracted from the awesome base beer quite a bit, not the best batch of simcoe.
