On tap at the brew pub. Amber orange color, reminiscent of a shot of whiskey. An oaky bourbon aroma. Modest taste of bourbon up front -- not too hot. There's some oak, them a sour finish like a Flemish red. Nicely tart and fairly dry. Medium bodied and puckering mouthfeel. Amazing.

On tap at Jack's Abby in Framingham, MA. A sour red aged in red and white wine barrels for a year or so.
This one pours a dark clear red, with a very small head, and basically no lacing.
Smells like both tart cherry and sweet cherry juice, raspberry, red wine, and sangria.
This really tastes like it has fruit in it, but as far as I know, it doesn't. The red wine barrel aging is much more strongly expressed than the white wine barrel aging. There's ton of red fruit- cherry and raspberry, juicy and pretty tart, with lots of red wine, almost a sangria feel to this.
This is pretty light bodied, with a crisp juicy mouthfeel, and a moderate level of carbonation.
A really interesting, if not simple sour from Jack's Abby. Quite tasty, I hope they bottle it.
