From a 16oz can, dated 07/03/18. Served in an imperial pint pub glass.
Pours a mildly hazed, pale-pale yellow with a towering, untameable mound of fluffy white head. Retention is very good, leaving fat wads of bubbly lacing.
Disappointingly faint nose, pale malts and something vaguely fruity.
Taste is an exceptionally well-balanced melange of golden cereal grains and fruity-spicy european hops. Lightly toasted white bread, apple, orange, lemon peel, green grass and sweet spice.
Feel is bright and refreshing, medium-light bodied relative to the style and vigorously carbonated.
Overall, a fun and delicious, uncomplicated, easy-drinking brew. This would be a great beer to drink out of one of those 3 liter bierstiefels. I wish I had discovered this earlier in the summer because I would have drunk a ton of it. I hope either JA or Foundation brings it back next year!

From the 12 fl. oz can that was canned on 07/03/18. Sampled on August 19, 2018.
Like a good Helles, this pours a golden yellow color with excellent clarity and a boisterous, foamy white head that fades and laces.
Appealing aromas of toasted white bread, sweet grainy malts, and grass. Also that German yeast strain is evident.
Light to medium body, which aligns with the style.
Same breaded sweetness in the taste followed by a dry and mild to moderate bitterness to finish. Refreshing all around.

A: Pours a golden yellow color with 2 fingers of head that slowly fades down to a nice cap that leaves decent lacing
S: Grain, bready malt, and a mix of grassy and herbal hops up front along with a touch of lighter fruit
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the bready malt, floral and grassy hops, and grain and then goes into very light apple and pear notes. Finishes with a mix of light bready sweetness and grain
M: Light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation
O: A great collaboration (with Foundation) that really does a solid job handling the Munich-Style Festbier. Super drinkable and very convincing for an American-brewed German-styled brew. Definitely worth checking out
