This beer pours black with some leakage on the edges to mahogany brown and a thick, creamy tan head. Absolutely gorgeous beer. There is some peanut butter on the nose, and some cocoa and char, but no hint of the barrel.

The peanut butter is also present on the taste, and there’s some sweet chocolate and a modicum of char, but again no barrel notes.

The mouthfeel is medium and a little creamy. Overall, this isn’t a miss, but I think the base beer and the BA version are substantially better, IMHO.

Pours a large tan foamy frothy 1.5 finger head with great retention, nice sticky lacing, decent legs, jet black color

Nose has some peanut butter, not a ton but also not overpowering like many other peanut butter beers, but rather than crunchy raw peanuts this seems more like the peanut butter filling of a peanut butter cup surprisingly, a bit of milk chocolate and cocoa, some of the base porter with roasted malt notes and coffee, and a a bit of char, light vanilla oak

Taste brings a lot more peanut butter cup candy bar, again the peanut butter filling candy like flavor, some cocoa and milk chocolate like flavors, a bit of roast and almost char but not quite that far, coffee notes, a bit of vanilla barrel but really no bourbon, fair sweetness with a bit of smooth alcohol, some bitterness mostly from the roast and alittle spicy hop late, some sugar and sweetness, finishes a little sticky sweet, a bit more alcohol

Mouth is med to fuller bod, med fizzy carb, light warming alcohol

Overall not bad but not great, even the base beer seems a little lighter than it should, peanut butter is there but not much of it on the taste especially, so for a beer it's not too bad, but for the BA Framinghammer series it's on the low end
