Pours a smaller fizzy brownish head with med-low retention, no real lacing, decent legs, pitch black color
nose is nice, some barrel and whisky/bourbon characters with quite a bit of toasted oak, and little barrel char, nice fruit behind that with a rich cherry wood character, plenty of dark roasty malts, burnt coffee, a little baking spice and charred nougat, bit of spicy hop, and little dark dark chocolate
Taste start rich, with dark malts again, roasty malts with some over roasted coffee, baking spices, into vanilla barrel with some toasted charred oak and a bit of bourbon whiskey, lots of cherry and fruity flavors, cherry wood and straight up sweet cherry, but thankfully not the fake candy cherry flavors, a touch of nougat and dark choc, a bit of bitterness from mild spicy hops and the roasted malts, sticky semi sweet finish, a bit of warming alcohol on the back end, lingering dark choc covered cherry
Mouth is fuller bod, rich almost chewy like, med foamy carb, a little warming alcohol, sticky
Overall not bad, normally I'm not a big fan of cherry stouts but this went well, and had enough base porter and good barrel, so a good beer all around

This is a series I'd love to have more of, but they are rather pricey. Regardless, I picked this up directly from the brewery the other day so this should be fresh
Pours very dark brown with 2 fingers of mocha head that fades to a cap at a decent rate and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is roast heavy, starting off with rich nutty coffee, I'm picking up tons of pecan and hazelnut. Some chocolate malt that seems like it's been smoked a bit. Rich milk chocolate, smooth bourbon, vanilla and just a hint of cherry. This aroma is incredible, one of the best beers I've ever smelled
While the taste here is good, great even, it sadly does not live up to the nose. To start things off we get a lightly bitter coffee, almost astringent but it works here. Mid palate transitions to the lovely nuttiness and chocolate from the aroma. Closing things out, the bourbon leaves a lightly sweet aftertaste which is counteracted by very light, tart cherries
Full bodied with moderate carbonation, this feels like a much lighter porter than it is. Almost a bit watery, but that saves it from becoming too heavy. Finishes mostly dry
This was damn good. I wish the cherries came through stronger, but maybe some age would've helped that. Oh well, the aroma was still perfect imo

Beige head, but brief. Some slippery spots but ultimately no lace. Deep dark brown where light does not pass.
Plenty of alcohol to the nose with a milk chocolate background. It reminds me of chocolate liqueur. I don't pick up any cherry notes to the nose.
The flavor opens with a semisweet chocolate taste. The alcohol remains strong throughout. As the swallow nears, there's a notable cherry. Rich bodied with a neutral carbonation. There's a long cocoa aftertaste. Powerful, yet quite drinkable.

Pours opaque, dark brown in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is big bourbon, vanilla, and tart cherry. Heavy bodied, moderate carbonation, sweet and roasty. Makes for a solid, boozy, Baltic porter.Middle of the road for Framinghammers but still good.
