Pours opaque, jet black in color with minimal head. Taste is big bourbon barrel, vanilla, whiskey. Smooth, slightly bitter, heavy body, low carbonation, borderline flat for a solid seal. Not really digging this one. Heavy and slick, not really an improvement on regular Framinghammer.

Pours a light fizzy small tan head with lower retention, touch of lacing, decent legs, jet black color
Nose brings a ton of barrel, big oak barrel, bourbon, toasted oak, a bit of vanilla, smells a bit like a rickhouse, some dark chocolate, cocoa, and a little roasted malt,
Taste brings more roasted malts, dark chocolate and cocoa, rich dark malts, roasted malt getting fairly high, even a hint smokey, but tons of barrel again, raw oak, a bit like licking a barrel in a rickhouse, cheap bourbon, vanilla, some alcohol warmth and flavor, little bitterness, mild sticky sweet finish with lingering dark chocolate, roast, and loads of barrel again
Mouth is fuller bod, very rich but smooth, some warming alcohol, low carb
Overall mixed on this one, the base beer seems to have been detracted a bit, tons of barrel but not all good barrel, good overall but not as great as I expected

Drinks more like a lagerness monster, or even a cordial, than a framinghammer. Lots and lots of barrel character. Bourbon notes are big. Very minimal carbonation. Viscous, little syrupy but overall a very enjoyable sipper.
