This wonderfully aromatic, sunshine golden-colored lager features an herbal noble hop nose followed by a dry finish. Brewing and conditioning for extended periods balances the traditional bohemian Pilsner malt with other unique hops. The name pays tribute to the Saxony Ice Company started by the Hendler brothers’ grandfather.

Had this beer on tap at the brewery in Framingham. Served in a 4oz tasting glass, cool.

A-white head and a gold pale body.

S-bit antiseptic.

T-imperceptible hop and grain flavor. one dimensional.

M- light

D-Disappointing. Just not a strong showing by an otherwise great brewery.

Nice creamy 1 finger head fades med pace with lacing all over the glass, crystal clear golden pilsner malt color.

Nose has nice toasty pilsner malt, light sweet fruit lager yeast, light grassy noble hops. Nothing fancy, just great right on for style pilsner aroma.

Taste has nice toasty malts, pilsner, light, semi sweet to start, some light sweet and fruity lager flavors, nice grassy noble hops start to get a bit bitter and spicy, dry bitter finish. The start is awesome, but the finish gets a bit too bitter for what the rest of the beer is, otherwise taste would have been 4.5 rating.

Mouth is med to a bit lighter bodied, dec carb.

Overall a great pils, nice malts, nice hops too, it doesn't try to do anything fancy, just a great toasty but easy drinking light pilsner. The only very slightly negative is the bitterness on the finish as it seems to get a bit too bitter, but that's not a huge negative, just a bit much for this beer.

Gorgeous looking beer. Straw yellow and crystal clear. You could read a newspaper through this beer. Small white frothy head.
Grass and hay on the nose. Minimal hop bite. Tin after taste Fairly easy drinking but left some stickiness in my mouth.

I am not a huge Pilsner fan to be honest . Perhaps my least favorite style. So maybe this is a bit biased. This is pretty true to the style. Good but not my favorite beer from these guys.

Pours a beautiful crystal clear medium gold, brilliant clarity topped with a foamy white head.

Snappy, spicy pils aroma, classic. Loads of bready pilsner malt.

Malty, lemon fruity not pithy, no harshness.

Medium bodied for the style, but a light body in the overall scheme of things. A very nice pilsner made even better by being local and not imported. Bring on the fresh baked pretzels and a beer garden.
