Growler served in Southern Tier tulip. Thanks to Gonzoillini for the share.
A: Pours a semi dark brown color with lots of dark ruby highlights. A little tan head forms on the pour and recedes to a thin ring. Some splotches of lace.
S:Very subtle smoke, some wood, with some light malts. Subtle sweetness on the back end. Not getting much of the barrel.
T: More smokey than the nose. some pale malts with a little roast. Slightly sweet with some sweet barrel notes.
M: Really drinkable. Light bodied with a medium carbonation.
O: The barrel was extremely light in this situation, but it provided enough sweetness to cut some of the smoke. An interesting beer that I'd like to try again.

Thank to JLindros for sharing this at his birthday party. Poured into a Kate the Great tulip. Reviewed from notes.
A - Pours a nice clear brownish molasses hue with just faint tinges of garnet peeking through the outside.
S - Light brown sugar notes along with some faint molasses. Love the smoked meat/bacon aromas that Jack's Abby can imbue in their beers. Some faint smoke notes as well and just a touch of vanilla.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice light smokeyness that fades to leave more of that sweet almost maple bacon flavour with faint roast notes. The vanilla is a bit fainter than the nose. Quite enjoyable to drink.
M - Mouthfeel is solid, decent enough carbonation.
O - Overall This was a solid beer and a nice step up from the base Smoke and Dagger beer. Like the faint maple notes along with the light vanilla from the barrels. Tasty.

This is their smoke and dagger aged in barrels. Thanks to the wifey for picking this up for me. Love you honey.
Light fizzy head, clear auburn molasses brown, light ruby light sneaking through.
Nose maple bacon, brown sugar, molasses, smoked meat with candied coating, hint esters and booze like, nice smoke light tannins and bitterness from smoke, faint hint of barrel with light oak and vanilla.
Taste smoke to start, bitter tannins from smoke that fade quickly, light smoked meat and again the maple bacon like, light roast like, nice brown sugar and molasses, etc., light barrel with some vanilla rounding quality which is nice as it cuts that edge off the smoke and makes it very smooth and drinkable.
Mouth is med bodied, lighter but decent carb (typical for growler).
Overall pretty nice, I like the smoke and dagger flavors with some nice smoke, maple bacon, brown sugar sweet flavors, etc, and that edge from the smoke and tannins are rounded off by the barrel adding a nice vanilla flavor and creaminess. Very smooth and tasty.
